Biography
I joined the Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies in 2023 as a Teaching Associate in Media Studies Education. Prior to this, I was a Lecturer in Politics and Media at the University of East Anglia, where I also obtained my PhD in Politics and MA in Media and Cultural Politics, after I got my BA in Literature of Drama, Film and TV at the Chinese University of Communication.
Expertise Summary
My research focuses on digital activism and (collective) identity construction, especially by Chinese-speaking queer communities. I am also interested in studies of social media, social movements, gender and sexuality, Chinese media, and inclusive and innovative pedagogy.
Teaching Summary
I teach a wide range of modules on media, communication, cultural, sociological, and political studies. I am committed to inclusive and innovative teaching.

- Researching Media and Culture (year 2)
- Cultural, Media and Visual Studies Dissertation (PGT)
I also supervise BA and MA dissertations.
