NCI Volunteer Teaching Scheme

We offer regular volunteer teaching opportunities at local schools or on University campus to help enhance young people's understanding of contemporary China, Chinese language and culture.

The scheme will enable you:

• to develop confidence and skills through involvement in University activities either on campus or in schools;
• to gain an understanding of the UK education system and current education practices
• to develop basic transferable employability skills including communication, planning, leadership, and reflection.
• to enhance your CV and show potential employers that you've gained valuable skills through making the most of University life.  

To be considered for the scheme, you should be studying full-time at the University of Nottingham, and have the following qualities:

• passion for promoting Chinese language and culture
• high-level communication skills in both Chinese and English
• be a good team player
• reliable, committed and flexible
