- Due to a high volume of applications received shortly before the application deadline, it is strongly recommended that you allow at least one hour prior to the application deadline to submit your completed application.

Conditions for applying
Please read and check you have completed the following before starting your application:
- You have selected up to three summer schools and researched the partner universities and couses thoroughly.
- You can choose either all in-person summer schools, all online summer schools or a mixture of the two formats.
- You have prepared your answer to the following personal statement question:
The maximum number of words for the whole statement is 800 words.
- Students who have studied or worked abroad or are due to study or work abroad during their degree programme at the University of Nottingham, students in their final year and/or students due to sit re-sit examinations in summer 2025 will be de-prioritised.
- You have read and understood the Data Protection information below.
- Applicants must have achieved an overall minimum of 50% in their academic average, including assessment results from the autumn semester of 2023 in order to be considered. Students who have attained an average grade below 50% without approved extenuating circumstances will not be considered for the programme.
- If you have a physical disability, a long-term medical condition, a Specific Learning Difference (SpLD), e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, a sensory impairment or mental health issues then you should read the Disability Support Services: Study abroad and work placements webpage and you may also wish to speak with your Disability Liaison Officer in your school/department.
Data Protection
The University of Nottingham is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The University is committed to ensuring that the personal data of its students is handled in accordance with the principles set out in the GDPR. The personal information you provide in relation to your exchange will be protected in accordance with the GDPR and will be used by the Study Abroad team to determine your suitability for international summer schools. Your personal information will be stored securely.
The University of Nottingham will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless the University is under a legal obligation to do so. However, should you be accepted, it will be necessary to forward your personal details including your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, University of Nottingham email address, academic transcript and intended area(s) of study to your allocated host university as part of the nomination process.
Should you be accepted, your name and University of Nottingham email address will also be shared with other students participating in international summer schools. If you do not wish for these details to be disclosed, please contact the Global Opportunities team.
