Keeping active

In order to stay healthy, the NHS recommends doing two types of exercise every week. This includes at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity (such as cycling or brisk walking) OR 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity (such as running or tennis) OR a combination of both. In addition, it is advised to do strength exercises on 2 or more days a week that work all the major muscles. See the NHS guidelines for further information and exercise ideas.

Consider what physical activities you can safely do in your home. Yoga, dancing, play interactive games, download a free workout session, clean your room/house or sitting exercises are all idea's you can do in the comfort o your one living space.

 Vitamin D

It is important to go outside to experience fresh air and sunlight. Sunlight is a source of vitamin D. Vitamin D is needed to keep bones, teeth, and muscles healthy. If you do not go outside very much you may become Vitamin D deficient. To protect against this, you can buy Vitamin D supplements from a pharmacy.
