Schools Partnership Gateway

Unique Opportunities for Pupils

There are a number of opportunities for you and the pupils at your school to work with the university. If you would like any more information or have any questions, please get in touch.

Activities on campus

Schools can use our facilities, including meeting rooms, teaching spaces and visual learning lab, for activites free of charge. For example, you could use the campus as a stimulus for artwork or use one of our rooms for a professional development event. If you are interested in using our facilities, please contact us.

Our partner schools are also invited to the University for specific events as part of the Initial Teacher Education courses, for example, a maths trail for primary pupils run by the PGCE students and the Carnegie Award event for secondary pupils in English. If you would like to register your interest in being involved in activities such as these, please get in touch.

Outreach activities

The University undertakes a wide range of outreach work to encourage local pupils to engage with the university and to support local schools. This includes, for example, reading buddies, maths partners and school visits. For more information please visit the Schools and Colleges Liaison website.
