The Institute for Name-studies would like to pass on their congratulations to two colleagues on their promotions.
Congratulations to Jayne Carroll, who has recently been promoted to Professor of Early English and Name-Studies. Jayne has been at the University since 2009, when she was appointed Lecturer in the History of English and Director of the Institute for Name-Studies. Jayne completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham and was a recipient of the Government of Iceland Ministry of Education, Science and Culture scholarship. We would also like to extend our congratulations to Rebecca Gregory, who has recently been promoted to Assistant Professor. Rebecca joined the University of Nottingham in 2019 as part of the Applied English team, developing and running Distance Learning programmes in the School of English. She also was previously Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Glasgow, and a Teaching Affiliate here at the University of Nottingham.
