From first ideas through to commercialisation and industry partnerships, Research & Innovation provides guidance and expert advice to support the delivery of the University’s research and knowledge exchange strategies, and achievement of its RKE ambitions. 

We manage the research and knowledge exchange (RKE) portfolio (approximately £900 million in active research, training and KE grants) in collaboration with the academic community, and deliver against institutional and external key performance indicators in order to ensure the university’s compliance with major funders and government agencies.

New survey of UK fashion manufacturers reveals experience of unfair purchasing practices

Description
Results from a survey of UK clothing manufacturers, analysed by academics from the University of Nottingham, the University of Leicester and the independent trade justice charity Transform Trade, have revealed that unfair purchasing practices by brands and retailers are common-place within the garment manufacturing industry. Galloping into the Year of the Horse at Nottingham Central Library: Crafts, Stories, and Smiles

Description
On 18th February, the Nottingham Confucius Institute (NCI) partnered with Nottingham Central Library to host a special family celebration for the Chinese New Year of the Horse. Between 12pm and 2pm, the event drew over 200 children and their families, filling the library with the spirit of Chinese culture.
