From 15 March 2022, the UK government revoked the requirement for students engaged in patient-facing health or social care settings to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This means that while we still encourage all eligible students to become fully vaccinated, there will be no impediment to you starting your course, regardless of your Covid-19 vaccination status.

Mandatory Occupational Health Clearance and DBS Clearance is required before starting any of these courses. Our Occupational Health provider will contact you by email and invite you to complete an initial health questionnaire (called a PPQ).

The information you provide will be assessed for any disabilities or health conditions that could be relevant to your studies, your placements or your future registration and employment. The information is also used by our Occupational Health provider to recommend any practical adjustments related to your health or disability that might help you in your course.

If further information is required, follow-up appointments may be arranged for you to meet by video or telephone with a nurse or doctor.

A panel in the university reviews all Occupational Health assessments and all recommended adjustments. This panel determines whether the recommended adjustments can be made on an individual case-by-case basis.
