We expect all our staff to act appropriately. This protects our reputation and helps make the University of Nottingham a great place to work.
If we feel an employee hasn’t met the standards we expect, we have a disciplinary process we will follow. This process deals with allegations of misconduct, including gross misconduct.
What you need to know
As a manager, it’s vital that you’re aware of our disciplinary procedure for dealing with matters of misconduct. You’ll also need to know what to do if one of your team fails to meet our expected standards of conduct or performance.
As an employee, you should understand what is expected of you. It’s important that you know what would happen if you did not meet our standards.
