Salary Sacrifice Schemes

All Childcare Voucher Schemes have a cut-off date for new entrants of 6 April 2018. This means that anyone who wishes to use the childcare voucher scheme needs to be in receipt of their first voucher on or before 5 April 2018. The childcare voucher scheme is being replaced by a government ‘Tax-Free Childcare scheme’.

The University of Nottingham payroll cut off dates mean that any member of staff who wishes to join the Childcare Voucher scheme will need to have registered with our provider (Edenred) by 12 March 2018. Registration information for Edenred can be found here and if you have questions in relation to the scheme you can contact them on 0800 247 1233.

Depending on your personal circumstances you may be better off under the current ‘Childcare Voucher Scheme’, or you may be better off under the new ‘Tax-Free Childcare scheme’ The University cannot offer advice in relation to your personal circumstances. There is a government information site detailing the different options for help paying for childcare here.  Additionally, our childcare voucher provider has produced ‘A Parent’s Guide To Childcare Vouchers & Tax-Free Childcare'.
