What do you need?

Check our advice on what equipment you need and see what software and services you get:

check_circle   You will need access to a phone, tablet and/or laptop device to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA will be required for security on your Microsoft account and will also allow you to access services such as the Windows Virtual Desktop.

check_circle   We recommend you have a suitable laptop to work on. Check the general specifications on the Equipment advice page and contact your school or department if you have any queries.

check_circle   Get Microsoft Office for free.  All students can install the latest Microsoft apps on up to five devices.

check_circle   Access a range of specialist software. Find and install your course software on our store or use the Windows Virtual Desktop to access software without the need to download on your personal device.

check_circle   Connect to Wi-Fi and use printers and PCs on campus. We have eduroam Wi-Fi across all campuses, printers are available in halls and many locations and there are PCs in libraries and computer rooms.
