Help and support

During the start of each academic year, we provide additional support to help you get set up and connected to a wide range of IT services.

Smart Bar

The Smart Bar is a term-time service offering peer-to-peer IT support and advice on a wide range of queries, including your IT account, laptop and mobile devices, email, Office 365, Teams and software options.

check_circle   Ask for help at our virtual Smart Bar via Teams, Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm.

check_circle   Get in-person help on campus at our physical Smart Bar in Hallward Library, Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm.




IT Support Tutors

Our IT tutors will be on hand when you arrive on campus to provide on-the-spot support and help you get set up. 

Welcome Fair (University Park Campus)

Our tutors are available at the Welcome Fair on C Floor in the Portland Building on University Park. 

Find us from 10am to 4pm on the following dates in these locations: 

  • Tuesday 1 February - inside the Welcome Zone
  • Wednesday 2 February - outside the Atrium

You can also visit our main Smart Bar in Hallward Library, University Park.

 

Faculty IT Induction

All new and returning students were welcomed in 2021 to attend an online IT Induction to discover more about services on offer. Each session lasted around 45 minutes and was recorded.
