Day One of the Course

We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday 27 August, which is day one of the course. Part of this day will involve the second stage of registration and must be completed face-to-face. It is this stage which:

ensures you are fully registered and able to access all university systems from the start of your course
enables us to complete our final plans for the organisation of autumn term placements

Primary PGCE

Secondary PGCE

During the day you will:

complete the final stage of the registration process
complete any outstanding administrative tasks
attend an introductory whole course session
meet your tutors
meet your peers
have the opportunity to talk to different teachers’ unions and sign up for student teacher membership
learn about what to do in w/c 4 September to ensure you are fully prepared for day one of the course

Key things to bring with you on the day

Any original certificates that you are yet to show - colleagues from our Admissions Team will contact you to let you know what certificates, if any, they need to see
Original photographic ID document for example passport or driving licence
Equipment: pen and paper and any electronic device you prefer to work with
