Printed Collections
The special printed book collections are listed below. Items within the collections are catalogued in the University of Nottingham's library catalogue, NUsearch.
To search for items in a specific collection,
To bring up all resources in this collection, choose 'Advanced Search'. Change the first option 'Anywhere', to 'Collection'. Type the code (see below for a list, e.g. EMC for East Midlands Collection) into the main search box and click the green magnifying glass icon to submit the search. When the search results load, scroll down the filters on the right hand side of the screen. You can modify your search further by using filters for resource type, date of publication, language, etc.
To search for items within any Special Collection by keyword, type your keywords into the main search box and click the green magnifying glass to search. This time, go to the filters on the right hand side of the screen and scroll down to 'UoN Collections'. Find the Collection you wish to browse, and apply the filter.
If you are able to log in to NUsearch, you can use NUsearch to make online bookings to view Special Collection items in the Manuscripts and Special Collections Reading Room. University of Nottingham staff and students and University of Nottingham library card holders are able to log in and use this function.
