Some courses require you to pay a course deposit at the point of accepting your offer.

Meet the conditions of your offer
Your offer may be conditional upon any or all of the following:

If you have a conditional offer, your conditions will be stated in your offer letter. Please ensure you read this carefully.
You will need to meet all of the conditions on your offer before you can register. Conditions must be met by the results deadline (please see below).
Further information on how to meet these conditions are below.
Provide evidence of your qualifications
You will need to provide full colour scanned copies of your certificate and final transcript confirming your qualifications and awarded grade/classification.
You can upload scanned documents or electronic documents via our online application system, NottinghamHub. Your documents should confirm the following information:
- Your full name
- The institution where you studied
- The subject you studied
- The qualification you were awarded
- The date of award
- Your results in each module undertaken
- Your final overall grade
Please provide copies of your original documents. If these were issued in a language other than English, please also provide a certified English translation of each document.
Provide evidence of your English language ability
All applicants, both home and international, are required to hold English language qualifications at an appropriate level in order to study at the university. If you're a native English speaker, or you have studied in an English-speaking country or institution, we may be able to accept your academic qualifications as evidence of your English language ability.
If we require further evidence of English language, this will be stated on your offer letter. IELTS requirements are detailed on our course pages, though we also accept alternative English language qualifications.
Some of English language tests, like IELTS, PTE and TOEFL, need to have been taken within two years of your course start date. Alternatively, if you are using a qualification to meet these requirements, such as a GCSE or A level English or acceptable international equivalent, the certificate must clearly state the qualification, subject and result.
The deadlines for meeting our English language conditions are the same as the deadline listed below for submitting documents.
If you require additional support to develop your language skills, you may be able to study a pre-sessional course with the Centre for English Language Education.
Submit references
If you included contact details for your referees in your application, the university will have contacted them directly to request a reference on your behalf. If one has not been received, you may wish to contact your nominated referee and ask them to reply to the reference submission request they will have received.
Alternatively, you can upload electronic copies of your references via the online application system, NottinghamHub.
These should be:
- Signed by the referee
- Dated within two years of your application date
- Saved in a non-editable format
- Feature the institution/company logo as a document header of institution/company stamp
- Contain contact details of the referee (such as a professional email address)

Recognition of other learning (ROL)
Credits are a standard way of measuring learning. ROL means you can start your course at the appropriate level through substituting individual modules or reducing the total amount of credits you need to study to gain a qualification.
For example, you could use ROL to put towards the total credits you need to complete a masters degree.

Requesting a deferral
If your study plans change and you won't be able to join us this year, we may be able to defer your offer to the next academic year. Find out more about requesting a deferred offer.
