At the University of Nottingham's Accident Research Unit, we're studying near-crash events that occur on Nottinghamshire roads. Near-crash events are moments on the road where accidents almost happen but are narrowly avoided. These situations are more common than you might think and can help us predict where future accidents might occur.

We're inviting people to join our research as citizen scientists. As a citizen scientist, you'll share videos of near-crash events in Nottingham if you're a car driver, motorcyclist, cyclist, e-scooter user, or pedestrian. If you already have videos or cameras, you can use those. We also provide cameras for those who want to participate but don't have their own.

If you would be interested in taking part and want to receive further information about this project, you can complete this expression of interest form. (which is also linked directly to below).
