Prize winners, University of Nottingham 2018 Polymer Science and Engineering meeting

The Inaugural Polymer Science and Engineering Meeting at the University of Nottingham took place on the 13th of September 2018 in the School of Chemistry. The event was organised by three Post Docs, Olivia Monaghan (Chemistry), Amy Stimpson (Engineering) and Amanda Pearce (part of the Biomaterials Discovery Programme Grant in Pharmacy), who all work in polymer science and materials. Amanda is mostly involved in Research Challenge 2 of the Programme Grant looking at Systems Based Advanced Drug Delivery.

The event began with a talk from Prof. David Haddleton, from the University of Warrick, and included shorter talks from PhD students and Post Docs. Following a poster and networking session, the poster prize went to the Biomaterials Discovery Programme Grant PhD student Valentina Cuzzucoli Crucitti while the PhD student oral presentation prize went to another Biomaterials Discovery Programme Grant PhD student Dara O'Brien.
