Professor Morgan Alexander

Professor Morgan Alexander has again been named by Clarivate as one of the world's influential researchers with Highly Cited Researchers 2023. ISI analysts have awarded Highly Cited Researcher 2023 designations to 6,849 researchers from across the globe who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields over the last decade. The list is truly global, spanning 69 countries or regions and spread across a diverse range of research fields in the sciences and social sciences using a published methodology.

Morgan was listed in the global Highly Cited Researchers 2023 rankings during the 11-year period 2013 to 2023. He is amongst a total of only 574 researchers from the UK and 8 at the University of Nottingham to make the list. The UK placed 3rd globally behind the USA and China from the 6,849 researchers. To be on the list, published research papers need to rank in the top 1% by citations for the field, and also the individual must be in the top 1% by total citations in that field. This year Morgan qualified in the cross-field category, reflecting a combination of highly cited papers in several fields, demonstrating superior multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary influence.
