Joris Meurs receives travel Grants

The PhD student Joris Meurs has received travel grants from the Biochemical Society and the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation to attend a conference. The General Travel Grant from the Biochemical Society covers half of the attendance costs for the 22nd International Mass Spectrometry Conference in Florence (26th – 31rd August 2018). The other half will be covered by the Nico Nibbering Student Travel Award from the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation.

Joris is a PhD student in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham and Hyun Kim is his main supervisor. Joris joined the EPSRC Programme Grant in Next Generation Biomaterials Discovery in 2017 working on developing mass spectrometry strategies for examination of cellular responses in media and on complex surfaces. Joris is mainly associated with Research Challenge 1: Moving from 2D to 3D Materials Discovery Methods and he recently published a paper in Analytical Chemistry.
