Clinical Legal Education: Looking to the Future

In 2016, as part of a programme to review and reform its Legal Advice Centre, the School of Law at the University of Manchester commissioned Dr Vicky Kemp to undertake a research study to investigate the potential for setting up a ‘teaching law firm’.

The study involved exploring different models for clinical legal education, both in the UK and in the US. Published online in October 2016, the report broke new ground in setting out the rapidly developing terrain in the UK.
