On Friday 22 and Saturday 23 June 2018, the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, (Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies section), hosted the 13th annual Spanish, Portuguese & Latin American Studies Forum. This included 16 student papers and an exciting cultural event: a concert entitled "Music and Resistance from the Spanish & Portuguese-Speaking World". This concert involved special guest musicians, playing inspiring music from Brazil, Catalonia, Portugal and Chile, topped off with a rousing rendition of "El Pueblo Unido, Jamás Será Vencido!" [The People, United, Will Never be Defeated!]
