Description

A Centre for Research in Human Flourishing seminar

Facilitated by Dr Aydan Toper, Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey

In this experiential session, authenticity and its constructive aspects will be examined from the perspective of person-centred approach. In particular, the relationship between authenticity and prosocial and proenvironmental behaviour will be discussed in the light of Rogerian theoretical framework and recent empirical studies.

In addition, in this interactive session, participants will have the opportunity to develop insights into their own authenticity journeys. They will also gain knowledge and experience on how to listen to their wise inner voices and approach themselves with compassion, free from the influences and pressures of the outside world.

Dr Aydan Toper, PhD, is an instructor at the Department of Academic and Life Skills, Koç University. Aydan received her PhD degree from the Centre for Research in Human Flourishing at University of Nottingham. Her research interests include positive psychology and the person-centred approach.
