Congratulations to Grace Balchin who has been awarded the UK Literacy Association Student Research Award 2017. Grace completed the MA Creativity, Literacies and Learning last year whilst working full-time in one of our partnership schools.
This annual award is given for an outstanding student dissertation at undergraduate, postgraduate or higher degree level undertaken at a UK institution. In the letter confirming her award, it was stated that committee members were highly impressed by her thesis in terms of originality, relevance to practice and high level of scholarship.
Grace received her award on Saturday 1 July at the UKLA International Conference in Glasgow and then presented her work to delegates the following day.
Well done from all of us at the School of Education.
