School of Education colleagues involved in BERA Conference 2023

A number of School of Education staff were involved in the British Educational Research Association (BERA) 2023 conference held in Birmingham (12-14 September).

• Dr Yuwei Xu was a member of the conference organisation committee
• Professor Elizabeth Walton led a plenary session on educational justice through inclusion
• Professor Kathleen Pithouse-Morgan chaired a Global Childhoods Research Group (GCRG) symposium on methodological and ethical dilemmas and discoveries in researching childhoods in diverse contexts
• Dr Kerryn Dixon led a symposium on children's textual play and literacy becomings
• Research student, Brittany Wright, discussed her paper on taking teachers back to class
• Research Fellow, Dr Meryem Betül Yasdimanwas was involved in a symposium on the teaching and research nexus in international higher education
