Dr Yuwei Xu speaks at international conferences

Dr Yuwei Xu is undertaking an academic visit to the University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa, from 8 to 12 April 2024.

During the visit he will deliver various speeches to staff and students in the School of Education, including a keynote address at the Reimagining Gender and Sexuality in Global South Early Childhood Education conference. His keynote is 'Disrupting heteronormative discourses in early childhood education contexts through gender-sensitive and culturally-reflexive approaches'.

Later in the year, Dr Xu will be attending the following conferences:

• Keynote speaker at the International Symposium on Global South Studies 2024 that takes place at Thai Binh Duong University, Nha Trang City, Vietnam from 19 to 22 August 2024.
• Speaker for the opening keynote panel discussion at the BERA-WERA Conference 2024 from 8 to 12 September 2024.

Dr Xu is the founder and co-convenor of the Global Childhoods Research Group (GCRG) at the University of Nottingham.
