Current Research
My research is on, primarily, the origin - but also, the impact - of coloniality in eighteenth and nineteenth century Anglophone histories of early Christianity, with the goal of determining the extent to which the coloniality of those works is a consequence of the broader cultural milieu among historians of the metropole writing at a colonial zenith, rather than inherited from earlier, pre-modern, Christian sources. In this, I seek to expand understanding of coloniality beyond it being constitutive of modernity.
PhD supervised by Dr Patrice Haynes, Philosophy, and Dr Onyeka Nubia, History.
