Research Topic:
Corporate Voluntary and Mandatory Engagements

Research Details:
My current research investigates the impact of mandatory CSR regulations on the Indian financial market using a large panel dataset and various econometric techniques. I employ difference-in-difference framework, propensity score matching and instrumental variable regression to explore what kind of effect do well-intended policies, such as the Mandatory CSR, in the Global South have on the financial outcomes of their firms. My work broadly revolves around understanding the unintended consequences of such mandatory policies. My earlier research looked at factors influencing firm's decision to disclose political contributions using logistics regression in the case of US firms.
