Congratulations to PhD student Nick Sharman, Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies, who has had a chapter in a book on imperialism published. The book is The Continuing Imperialism of Free Trade edited by Jo Grady and Chris Grocott and it is published by Routledge. Nick’s chapter is entitled ‘Spain and Britain's Informal Empire.’ Nick is noted for his ‘stand-out’ chapter in an interview with one of the editors.
Congratulations also to Emma Humphries, PhD student in French and Francophone Studies, whose article ‘JeSuisCirconflexe: The French spelling reform of 1990 and 2016 reactions’ has been published in the Journal of French Language Studies.
