Very warmest congratulations to those colleagues in the School who have been promoted to Professor and Associate Professor.
Our two new Professors in the School are (from August 1) Maike Oergel (Modern Languages and Cultures, German) and Jean-Xavier Ridon (Modern Languages Cultures, French).
Our new Associate Professors are:
Hongwei Bao (Cultural, Media and Visual Studies)
Jan-Noel Thon (Cultural, Media and Visual Studies)
Ruth Maxey (American and Canadian Studies)
Karen Salt (American and Canadian Studies)
Alex Mevel (Modern Languages and Cultures – French/Translation)
Monica White (Modern Languages and Cultures, Russian & Slavonic Studies).
They join the following staff promoted to Level 5, announced earlier in the year:
Erica Brasil and Eduardo Guevara (Modern Languages and Cultures, Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies) and Alex Simcock (Culrual, Media and Visual Studies).
