Our ESE Team works with you to ensure that you have an excellent student experience within the School. You may receive emails from us about our Peer Mentoring scheme, updates from our Course Reps, calls for Student Experience Fund applications, invitations to events such as ‘What Matters To You’ (where free pizza is available!) or University Mental Health Day. We are here to listen to your suggestions and you can email or drop by our office to chat.

Our ESE Team are responsible for organising events in the Faculty of Arts for ‘Be U’ (formally ‘Wobble Week’). ‘Be U’ is a week full of activities dedicated to creating a sense of belonging and community at the University. Last year our activities included pumpkin carving, crafternoons and a visit from Corey the guide dog!
These photos are from our Spring Festival celebrations. Both students and staff were invited and all enjoyed the Chinese food, red decorations and performances from the students.
We welcomed staff and students to our Christmas quiz. Prizes included vouchers to our on campus burger bar ‘Mooch’ and to the independent book shop ‘Five Leaves’, as well as some treats from ‘Blackwells’ on campus! Check your emails throughout the year for more community events.
The ESE Team organised a chill out area in the Common Room for University Mental Health Day. Students could drink a variety of hot drinks, make a goodie bag full of treats or participate in relaxing colouring.
