Joining the Nottingham Poetry Exchange (NPE) team gave me the opportunity to work alongside other students and share our love for poetry. With the support of the School of English we were able to curate readings, workshops and an Anthology which included the work of young and exciting new Nottingham poets. NPE exposed me to a community of people that want to read, talk and write all things poetry, but most importantly people who want to have fun with it. Our events created a safe-space for all the participants, and they never failed to brighten up my day or inspire me to write more. Most significantly perhaps, NPE gave me a platform to explore and promote my passion for poetry, by taking part in the behind the scenes of poetry events I love to participate in.
