Summer schools and masterclasses
An opportunity for students to visit the University campus and take part in Maths-related talks and activities.
For more information about our summer schools or masterclasses, please email Dr Joel Feinstein.
We run summer schools where school pupils come onto campus and take part in a morning or afternoon of maths-based activities and talks.
Staff deliver talks on aspects such as making the transition to university maths and studying the subject at Nottingham, as well as interesting areas of maths such as the mathematics of fraud.
We run masterclasses for school groups who visit campus and receive presentations from members of the Widening Participation team and academics from the School of Mathematical Sciences.
Students learn more about the experience of studying at the University of Nottingham and other useful information such as career opportunities for maths graduates.
Ambition is a free, two-year scheme for Year 12 students.
The activities support progression and application to a university of your choice.
