Biography
Maggie joined the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology in January 2007, after working in various posts in the housing sector, homelessness support projects and then six years at the Welsh European Funding Office of the Welsh Assembly.
Maggie is research co-ordinator for the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network and provides support to both the Clinical Trials Development Manager and Network Manager. Her role involves co-ordinating submissions of research ideas to the network and supporting subsequent pilot/ feasibility work (surveys). Maggie manages the membership database, websites, publicity material, finances, arranges meetings and conferences, and assists with early clinical trial development- including online surveys. Maggie has expertise in research priority setting having been involved in several partnerships with the James Lind Alliance. Maggie has experience in working as a research coordinator for several departments such as Primary Care, Child Health and Academic Rheumatology.
Expertise Summary
Priority setting partnerships - advised on several research priority setting exercises on dermatological conditions - eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, lichen sclerosus, psoriasis and hyperhidrosis.
Production of feasibility surveys for research projects.
