Biography

Michelle is an experienced qualitative researcher and has worked on a number of research projects including Home Office National Evaluations, locally commissioned prevalence audits into smoking, alcohol and substance misuse, needs assessments, service reviews and small scale local project evaluations. Michelle has over ten years experience of conducting fieldwork in a number of settings including health services, criminal justice agencies, schools, community projects and in the voluntary sector. Michelle also has experience of undertaking desk based reviews/ good practice audits and report writing. At the heart of all of the research projects has been participant involvement and Michelle has successfully recruited and engaged participants in research. Michelle has extensive project management skills and is highly proficient in research administration and quality control.

Michelle studied at the University of Leicester and has a Masters in Criminology and a BA in sociology.

Research Summary

Michelle is currently working on SNAP-3 Smoking, Nicotine & Pregnancy Trial within the Smoking in Pregnancy Research Group.
