Biography
Long received his BEng in Polymer Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2009. As part of his degree he spent a year as a visiting student at Department of Materials, Loughborough. He then obtained his MSc in Polymer Technology at Loughborough University in 2010. After that, he moved to the University of Oxford for his PhD which focused on crystallization and phase separation in thin film polymer. He completed his PhD in 2014.
Long is now working as Surface Analytical Officer within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham to support the commercial, industrial and research operations of the School of Pharmacy relating to the field of surface and interface analysis.
