Biography

Rachel Kenward is a pharmacist and an honorary assistant professor at the Division of Pharmacy Practice providing strategic support for the review and development of experiential undergraduate placements and interprofessional education throughout the 4 and 5 year degree course.

Rachel's interests include staff and student health and wellbeing, leadership, practice based learning and assessment within the UK and overseas.

Rachel graduated from Nottingham University and completed her pre-registration training at Northampton General Hospital. Rachel continued to practice in hospital pharmacy for 25 plus years in a variety of clinical, educational and leadership roles. Rachel is passionate about education and training and enabling others to realise their potential within pharmacy practice and education both locally, nationally and internationally. Rachel has had a long association with the School of Pharmacy including the role as aTeacher Practioner, development of joint Advanced Practitioner roles (Education and Training), with Nottingham Universities Hospital NHS Trust (NUH), member of the MPharm management committee (in role as Assistant Head of Pharmacy, Education and Training at NUH) supporting the development, implementation and GPhC accreditation of the 5 year degree, support for BPSA Conference 2019 (in role as RPS ambassador).

Rachel maintains her link with pharmacy practice in her role as an Education Supervisor for the Centre for Pharmacy Education supporting pharmacy professionals working within GP Practice and Care Homes.
