The White Rose Industrial Physics Academy
The White Rose Industrial Physics Academy (WRIPA) is a partnership between five university physics departments of Hull, Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield and York, plus technical industries from across the region.
The White Rose Industrial Physics Academy (WRIPA) was a consortium of five university physics departments at York, Sheffield, Leeds, Hull and Nottingham. Nottingham's School of Physics and Astronomy was WRIPA's full member since 2014 until the consortium has come to an end as an active organisation in autumn 2025.
The role of the WRIPA academy was to facilitate collaborations between physics students and industry through student internships, "year in industry" placements, final year projects, industry talks and other activities.
WRIPA continues to be a useful online resource for physics students. If you are a student, take a look at the gallery of physics students to see what roles they took up in industry - Physics Careers Case Study Tool.
