To meet and assure our Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) compliance and Ofsted regulatory requirements, two specific processes are undertaken on a regular basis throughout the academic year: Tri-partite reviews (TPRs) and Monthly Progress reviews.
Tri-partite reviews (TPRs) must take place to meet the requirements of the Education & Skills Funding Agency. TPRs include an apprentice, their line manager, and their Personal or Skills Tutor and are scheduled according to the prevailing Education & Skills.
For information on Monthly Programme Reviews, please see the ‘related regulations, policies and procedures’ section below.
All recruiting degree apprenticeship programmes are required to undertake this review processes.
A tripartite review is a mandatory, formal progress review that applies to all apprenticeships. They provide an opportunity to monitor progress, compliance, and performance of apprentices and enable action plans to be set where necessary, and for additional activities to be set for learners who need stretching.
TPRs monitor attainment of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in the relevant Apprenticeship Standard in addition to academic progress, working towards the Gateway review and End Point Assessment.
