The PPR is the replacement to the previous EEAR and PACER processes, providing a more in-depth review of programmes and building on the outcomes of the APR process.

Extenuating Circumstances – Coursework self-certification
An amendment has been made to the EC Regulations to permit the use of self-certification extensions (no evidence required) for coursework across all UNUK schools. Approval of these extensions will be undertaken by the RAA rather than EC panels, with a short processing time to ensure timely decisions. This provision will apply to coursework assessments, with a cap of two such extensions per student per academic year. Schools will not be able to opt out but will be required to nominate in advance from a short list of possible outcomes, with the default outcome being a five working day extension if no alternative is specified. RAA Assessments team will run some open briefings in early September to support staff.
