The Molecular Phenomics Platform investigates how the metabolism of living organisms relates to traits of interest, genetics and the environment. Working with researchers in plant, food and nutritional sciences, the Platform collaborates in the development of novel techniques to profile and quantify a wide range of primary and secondary metabolites. High resolution mass spectrometry enables thousands of distinct chemical features to be analysed in a single run. With this core technology supported by a wide range of sample extraction and clean up facilities, the Molecular Phenomics Platform offers both targeted and untargeted techniques to answer big questions across the food chain.
