You will need to apply for a student visa if your course will last for longer than six months. You can apply for a student visa a maximum of six months before the start of your course. As part of the application you will need to make an appointment to have your biometric information (photograph and fingerprints) taken at your nearest visa application centre. You will be directed to book an appointment as part of the online application process, so please do not book an appointment directly via that link, which is provided for location information only.
