To apply, you must complete a Postgraduate Application Form, either in hardcopy, or through the University's Postgraduate Admission portal at:

You should supply the following documents:
- A copy of your degree certificate
- A final or latest transcript of your degree course
- A list of modules you are studying in your final year, if you have not completed your course
- A valid English language test result (taken after September 2010), if required
- Two academic references (where possible)
Language Requirements
If your first language is not English, we may require evidence of your competence in English. Please see here, for information about exemptions. If evidence of competence is required we will accept:An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0, with a minimum score of at least 6.0 in each element. Please note that you should apply to do the 'Academic' version of the test.
IELTS is administered through British Council offices in many countries. For information about your local test centre contact the British Council in your own country. Information is available on their website at : http://www.ielts.org or telephone the UK helpline on ++44 161 957 7755
Or any one of the following two options:
A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 600 with a TWE of 4.5.
An Internet based TOEFL of at least 100, with a minimum score in the indvidual elements of the test : 21 in writing, 21 in listening, 22 in reading and 23 in speaking.
English Course for Postgraduate Business and Management Students
Applicants with conditional offers may be interested in the preparation courses (5- or 10-week) for Business and Management postgraduate studies offered by the Centre for English Language Education. This specialist programme is intended for postgraduate international students going on to Masters courses in business and business-related subjects and has been developed in close collaboration with Nottingham University Business School.
The aim of the programme is to enable students to meet the language demands of their future academic course and to familiarise them with future tasks and expectations of their school. The minimum entry requirements for registering on the programme are set out on the website. Students who attend and pass the English Course for Postgraduate Business and Management Students do not normally need to take an IELTS or TOEFL test at the end of the course.
Closing Date
The closing date for applications is normally the last working day of July each year, however an early application is advisable as places are limited.All successful applicants who receive an offer will be asked to pay a deposit of £1000 within a specified period to secure a place on the relevant programme. The deposit will be off-set against the fee for those who register for the MSc course. The £1000 will be returned to any candidate holding a conditional offer who fails to satisfy the conditions, but is non-refundable in any other circumstance.
