Facilities & Resources
The University's Jubilee Campus provides superb, modern facilities on an attractive, lakeside campus about one mile from the main University Park campus. A frequent shuttle bus runs between the two campuses and there is a walking and cycling link.The Business School features an MSc resource room, seminar rooms, computer rooms and a coffee bar.
In 2004, the University opened a second Business School building on Jubilee Campus that has world-class facilities, including a full service Business Library, additional lecture theatres, seminar rooms, computer labs, and a café. The Exchange building on the campus includes large lecture theatres, a bookshop, a bank, a shop and a café opening onto a covered central atrium. There is a large restaurant that overlooks the lake beside the main pedestrian walkway.
Computing Facilities
The Business School provides a variety of computing facilities, many of which are available 24 hours per day, seven days a week.MSc students have access to four computer labs and a dedicated resource room in addition to central University computing facilities. Seven WiFi hotspots also provide wireless access to the University network from within the Business School's two buildings.
Software available for MSc students includes all standard Microsoft Office and Internet packages, plus a range of research tools, including SPSS, NUD*IST, PC-Give and LIMDEP. A private website provides access to online teaching materials, and an extensive range of full-text online journals is available in the dedicated Business Library.
The Library
The Business School has a new, full-service Business Library that is open from 8.00 to 21.45 Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 16.45 on Saturdays, and 9.30 to 16.45 on Sundays. Computer services are available 24 hours.Accommodation
MSc course participants can apply for accommodation on campus. This may be in the postgraduate residence adjacent to the Business School or in the complex of University flats close to the main campus.All students paying overseas fees who accept a place on the MSc Programme by 1st August are guaranteed accommodation in University-owned single occupancy rooms.
The University's student accommodation is very high quality, and provides a secure environment in which to study. On Jubilee Campus, student accommodation is all en-suite, with every study bedroom equipped with computer network and telephone points.
