BSc (Hons) International Management

This is a full-time, three year course that offers you a unique opportunity to spend your second year at one of our international partner institutions. These include universities in Australia, Canada, Europe and Nottingham’s campuses in China and Malaysia. The year abroad gives you an excellent educational and cultural experience that is extremely attractive to employers. Graduates of International Management are expected to be well placed in the job market and for entry into masters-level education.

Key Information Sets (KIS)

KIS is an initiative that the government has introduced to allow you to compare different courses and universities.

Specialist themes

To give you more choice and flexibility, and to help guide you into areas of specialism, you may wish to consider one of our six specialist themes. You might choose to focus on a theme because it is relevant to your future career ambition, for example.

The six themes are:

  • Organisational Behaviour/Human Resource Management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business and Society
  • Strategy
  • Operations Management
  • Marketing

Course structure could be subject to change.

Continuation on the programme requires students to pass all year one modules at the first attempt (without re-sits) and obtain an average of 60 per cent in the first year. Students who fail, for whatever reason, to achieve the necessary attainment to progress to year two may be permitted to transfer to BSc Management, subject to standard university regulations and at the discretion of the Director of Undergraduate Programmes.

Please note that there are limited spaces at the majority of our partner institutions. If demand is high for a particular institution, places will be allocated to the students who have achieved the highest average in semester one of their first year. While we try to provide each student with their first choice of institution, potential students should be aware this may not always be the case but you will be guaranteed a place overseas, subject to the qualification criteria mentioned above.
