Part of the School of Education's Continuing Professional Development programme

This series of five masterclasses is aimed at school leaders who want to build their practice by engaging with some of the top names in educational leadership research and practice from the University of Nottingham.

The twilight series can be purchased by a school and sessions shared amongst the leadership to encourage school wide development.

The five sessions run on 9, 15, 22, 30 November and 14 December 2017 from 5-7pm

What you will learn

Each masterclass has been developed by a senior academic from the Centre for Research in Education Leadership and Management in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham based on their current research and years of experience.

There will be an opportunity for you to hear about new research and to consider its application to your practice and to the development of your school.

Core content

Each session will be unique and based on substantial research. The sessions titles are as follows:

  • 9 November: Leadership and diversity: How do school leaders see diversity?
  • 15 November: Improving Schools Through Action Research
  • 22 November: The Impact of Leadership on Student Outcomes: How Successful School Leaders Use Transformational and Instructional Strategies to Make a Difference
  • 30 November: What Successful Leadership Means: Evidence from the Field
  • 14 December: Leading School Change - Bringing Quality and Inclusion Together
