Covid-19 is the disease caused by the virus Sars-CoV-2, which is a member of the coronavirus family. For ease of communication, we use Covid-19 to refer to both the virus and the disease. In line with our principles and accessibility best practice, we do not use all caps (COVID-19), just an initial capital C. The terms Covid-19, Covid and coronavirus can be used interchangeably.
