BSc Accountancy Flying Start

Our Flying Start course, which is delivered in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), will fast-track you into an accountancy career.

You will benefit from the School's teaching, insight and unique international experience alongside leading edge professional practice during your time on a placement with PwC.

Nottingham is one of only three business schools in the UK to offer a Flying Start course. You can look forward to:

  • paid work placements with PwC
  • exemptions from the Professional stage papers for the ICAEW's Associate Chartered Accountant qualification
  • becoming a fully qualified Chartered Accountant a year after graduation (having successfully completed the Advanced Stage papers of the ICAEW’s Associate Chartered Accountant qualification)
  • secondment opportunities to overseas offices and other parts of PwC's business

Recognised as an ICAEW Partner in Learning, working with ICAEW in the professional development of students.

“I’m looking forward to putting the knowledge I’ve gained in lectures and seminars into action on my PwC placement in London.” - Kira Eilfield.

Key Information Sets (KIS)

This course combines academic rigour with practical experience thanks to our partnership with the ICAEW and PwC, one of the ‘big four’ accountancy firms. If you graduate with a 2:1 or higher, PwC may offer you a full-time position at Senior Associate level.
