Applying for an MBA
Entry onto an MBA course is dependent not only on your qualifications and experience but also your drive and enthusiasm.
We consider applications from graduates with good approved university honours degrees as well as those with significant professional experience or qualifications that have the potential to enhance the diversity of the MBA class.
How to apply
Please follow the online application process. Your application will be acknowledged by us.
The school reserves the right to ask for additional information or evidence to support your application.
Applications are treated in confidence and your details will not be sent to organisations outside the University without your consent.
Two references should be included with your application.
We prefer referees who have direct experience of your management abilities (for example, employer or business contact) or your career or performance (for example, your company training or personnel officer).
It is not our normal policy to make conditional offers. It is therefore important that you send all necessary information to us as soon as possible if you want to receive an early offer from us.
Admission to our full-time MBA requires at least three to five years of post-graduation full-time work experience that includes some management experience.
For entry to our Executive MBA or Executive MBA Healthcare, we usually expect you to have at least five years of post-graduation full-time work experience that includes some management experience.
English language requirements
If your first language is not English and you do not have a degree from a UK institution, we require evidence of your competence in English.
We will normally require one of the following combinations of test results for an immediate entry to the MBA Programme:
- IELTS 7.0 (6.0 in each element) OR
- Academic Pearson test of English 68 (minimum 55)
IELTS is administered through British Council offices in many countries. For information about your local test centre contact the British Council in your own country.
