Teaching

The Haydn Green Institute provides a programme of world class entrepreneurial and innovation education, teaching over 4,000 students per annum across all our programmes with the aim of developing the innovators and entrepreneurs of the future.

We offer undergraduate modules relating to entrepreneurship, innovation and commercialisation of ideas, including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, and International Entrepreneurship.

Postgraduate courses

Our MSc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management requires high levels of participation and commitment and embodies a strong practical element to support the theoretical learning, giving you the opportunity to learn how to apply your knowledge within organisations or towards starting a business venture.

We also offer a range of cross-disciplinary courses in partnership with other schools at the University, for those who want to combine the study of entrepreneurship practice with their core postgraduate degree subject

MSc Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management Entrepreneurship project module

The company-based challenge for the Entrepreneurship Project module on our MSc Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management course enables students to act as consultants, addressing real-life challenges. Participating start-ups and companies assign projects to groups of students. These local and global businesses present diverse challenges aimed at expanding and increasing visibility in competitive markets. Over three months, students collaborate to gather market and stakeholder data, and analyse and create comprehensive reports, with recommendations based on their findings.

Participating companies and students talk about their experiences of taking part in the company-based challenge for the Entrepreneurship Project module.

Throughout the module, students work closely with the academic team and Professors of Practice at the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The skills they acquire are essential for becoming competent and confident entrepreneurs, enhancing their employability.

At a final event, students present their reports, with some participating businesses, the academic team and business school staff.
