On 6th December, Dr Shaofeng Ni gave a public lecture at NCI’s Mandarin Corner on Traditional Chinese Painting. Dr Ni is a lecturer in Art History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of Hamburg, Germany. He is also a well-known German Chinese painter, curator and art history expert.
Using a series of Chinese and western landscape paintings as examples, Dr Ni introduced the audience to Chinese painting with a particular focus on the similarities and discrepancies in the handling of space. The lecture was well received by nearly 20 Nottingham students, staff and local residents.
Six public lectures, led by NCI Co-director Prof Nan Li, have taken place since September 2018 and attracted approximately 200 attendees. Topics covered include Chinese Drama History, Ancient Chinese Architecture, Classical Chinese Gardens, Chinese Language and Culture and Chinese Painting. Dr Ni’s lecture has put a perfect ending to this term’s lecture series.

知名旅德画家倪少峰老师做客诺丁汉大学孔子学院

当地时间12月6日晚上六点三十分，诺丁汉大学孔子学院举办了本学期第六期汉语角活动。窗外寒风阵阵，思源楼A18会议室中暖意融融，来自中英两国的观众们正在聚精会神的聆听来自德国汉堡大学的倪少峰老师带来的讲座——《中国传统绘画的空间构建》。
倪少峰老师是德国汉堡大学亚非学院艺术史讲师，同时也是著名旅德华裔画家、策展人、艺术史研究专家。此次他受诺丁汉孔子学院李楠院长之邀，专门从德国飞赴英国，为大家带来这次有关中国传统绘画的讲座。讲座上，倪少峰老师以一系列中国山水画及西方风景绘画作品为例，比较了中西绘画在空间处理上的异同，将观看者带入中国绘画艺术的天地，为其提供了切入的视角。在谈到中国传统绘画的空间结构问题时，倪老师带大家一起品鉴了五代十国南唐画家顾闳中的《韩熙载夜宴图》和元朝画家黄公望的《富春山居图》，观众们从倪老师的细致入微的讲解中收获了许多关于中国传统绘画空间结构的知识，感受了中国传统绘画的迷人魅力。
这学期在李楠院长的支持下，中国话剧、中国建筑、园林、电影领域的专家先后来到了诺丁汉孔院，为诺大师生带了精彩的文化盛宴。这次倪少峰老师关于中国传统绘画的讲座也为本学期的汉语角活动画上了圆满的句号。下学期诺大孔院也将继续努力，为大家带来更多更好的文化活动。
